Quickstart

Node 18.17 or newer. The default stub provider runs the whole pipeline offline, with no API key, and never fabricates a value.

Unzip the archive and cd ToolsThatRank.
Run npm run verify. It runs node --check on every module, then the self-check suite.
Run node doctor.mjs to confirm your Node version and environment.
Run the stub dry-run above to watch a full pipeline stop at the human gate without publishing.

What is in the archive

93 files, 708 KB unpacked from a 205 KB zip. Everything runs from the folder; the offline stub run needs nothing but Node.

15-stage pipeline: orchestrator.mjs drives stages/: intake, deep research, SERP validation, generation, fact-check, QA, hardening, build, and a human gate that refuses to publish on its own. 16 shared modules live in lib/.
8 agent prompts: prompts/ holds research, generate, fact-check, humanize, adversarial-QA, information-gain, helpfulness, and discover. Edit them; they are the pipeline’s behaviour.
6 written guides: docs/ carries QUICKSTART, PROVIDERS, CONFIGURATION, ARCHITECTURE, HOW-TO-RUN-ON-A-NEW-PROJECT, and the NASA Power-of-10 rules the code holds to.
A worked example: sites/example-cooking-converter/ runs end-to-end offline (the dry-run above). sites/_TEMPLATE/ is the blank you copy for your own niche.
Tooling & config: doctor.mjs preflight, discover.mjs keyword discovery, test/selfcheck.mjs (the 120 checks), pipeline.config.mjs, and a documented .env.example.
